Rashida Jones’ A-List Connections

Take a look at the seriously cool life and times of Rashida Jones
Rex FeaturesRashida Jones is bona fide LA royalty. Her dad is media mogul and record producer Quincy Jones, who’s bagged a record 79 Grammy Award nominations and worked with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder (not bad). Her mum is Golden Globe-winning actress Peggy Lipton, best known for appearing in Twin Peaks.
Rex FeaturesRashida attended The Buckley School in California, where she was a self-confessed nerd and voted the “Most Likely To Succeed”. She was also the schoolmate of a certain Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
Rex FeaturesRashida has a few well-known ex-boyfriends. Among them was The Great Gatsby star Tobey Maguire, who she dated for three and a half years.
PA PhotosShe was also engaged to music maestro Mark Ronson, who proposed on Rashida’s 27th birthday, using a custom-made crossword puzzle spelling out "Will you marry me?". But their relationship ended just a year later.

Speaking about taking on the role of Karen, the actress said, “He [Krasinski] was incredibly supportive of me getting this job, and for the most part, if you go out with someone and it doesn’t work out, there’s always a reason why you liked the person to begin with.”
Getty ImagesBut Rashida’s not only an amazing actress, she’s also a great singer. She performed a song based on the poetry of her friend, the late rapper Tupac, on the tribute album The Rose That Grew From Concrete.
Rex FeaturesAnd if that isn’t impressive enough, she also provided the backing vocals for Maroon 5’s debut record Songs About Jane.
Rex FeaturesAnother reason to be jealous of Rashida? She basically grew up with Michael Jackson. “I have a million memories of him… Later, we'd go out on the town together. He always wore those surgical masks. Once, my sister, Michael, Emmanuel Lewis and I got in a car with Super Soakers and went by a movie theater and super-soaked the hell out of people waiting in line. They had no idea they'd just been supersoaked by the King of Pop."
Rex FeaturesShe’s also BFFs with an Oscar winner. Talking about pal Natalie Portman (as you do), the actress revealed, "She would fight beasts 10 times her size to protect the people she loves. She is the kind of friend who can sub in and love you through the times when you can't necessarily love yourself."
Rex FeaturesRashida’s final A-list connection? Her Parks & Recreation co-star Amy Poehler. Together this pair have us in hysterics!
