London Pride 2022: Here are all the brilliant ways you can celebrate Pride in the capital this year

London Pride lovers, by now it's likely that you’ve got your rainbow themed, glitter-drenched outfit at the ready and you're gearing up to sing and dance your heart out to every Queen of pop that ever existed... BUT where will be the lucky place that gets the pleasure of playing host to you for Pride 2022?
This year marks a significant for the annual awareness month - supporting equality, and increased visibility of LGBTQIA+ members - as London Pride is turning 50-years-old and the capital has taken the celebrations pretty seriously.
With so many fabulous venues and events to choose from, taking place across June and into July, it can be overwhelming but we’ve got you covered.
With your Pride flag in hand and plenty of glitter, here are some of the best places to celebrate!

The Pride in London parade will be held on Saturday 2 July this year, and marks a significant moment for the Pride movement and the LGBTQIA+ community as we commemorate 50 Years since the first Pride took place in the United Kingdom.
Pride in London explains: “The campaign for 2022 will commemorate the past 50 years and our evolution as a movement; acknowledging those torch bearers who have come before us and their achievements. As we celebrate and look forward to the next 50 years, we’ll recognise the challenges still faced by our community nationally and globally.”

Starting at Charing Cross, join this free tour to start (or continue) exploring the vast and complex history of LGBTQIA+ life in London, with stories of iconic people and places who have shaped the city and community through the centuries. Weaving through the streets of London’s West End, you'll learn about pioneering drag queens from the 1700’s, secret gay soirées of the 1920’s, and the infamous development of Soho, one of the world’s best loved queer neighbourhoods.
Though tours are free, donations are welcome as guides are freelancers and lead groups on a voluntary basis.

From Thursday 30 June to Saturday 2 July, SUSHISAMBA’s nightlife concept Casa de Samba will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pride with a Casa de Samba weekender. A full spectrum of high energy and fabulous fun all weekend long, the celebrations will see a grand lineup of exciting drag performances and late night dancing, continuing the nightlife concept’s programme of sensational drag performances that take place throughout the year. Expect creative costumes, drag queen parades and acts including the LOVE is LOVE aerial anchor show, glamorous Pride-inspired makeup touch-ups, and a colourful exhibition by Gone Rogue and artist James Davison which will be on display all weekend long, with DJs Aisha Mirza, Mrs Mars, and Sian Owen turning up the volume for all dancing queens.

Proud and Loud
Join other members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community for an unmissable and powerful celebration of the UK’s 50 years of Pride. Proud and Loud will raise the roof of the Royal Albert Hall with performances from Calum Scott and Hayley Kiyoko with additional support from Cat Burns and ariōn on this spectacular night of music and LGBTQIA+ icons uniting to celebrate the past 50 years of Pride held in the UK with a look at what the future holds for the LGBTQIA+ community, plus special guests and surprises.
Funds raised from the event will go towards Pride in London’s Unity Fund.

Drag Bingo at The Duchess
Taking place every Thursday throughout June and July, that drab game that your grandma used to play in a stuffy, rundown hall just got a glam makeover. Drag Bingo is nothing new to the capital, except that this high-energy version at The Duchess pub in Hammersmith includes live singing, lip synching and plenty of prizes. So, join Aidan Orange and Miss Joelle every Thursday for an unforgettable evening.

Lesbian Single Soiree at Siorai
This Pride marks the first-ever lesbian single soiree held at Siorai (now thats a mouthful). With exclusive access to the whole venue and a well established drag star as your host, how can you say no to coming along and meeting other likeminded individuals for good chat, questionable dancing and great vibes. Plus, the first shot of the night is on Siorai.
BettmannJudy Garland: A Star is Reborn
Though a large part of Pride is raising awareness for the ongoing prejudice and discrimination against members of the LGBTQIA+ community, it's also an opportunity to forget your troubles and just get happy. Which is exactly what Judy Garland stood for and this celebration of one of the most enduring icons of the 20th century is one not to be missed. Taking place at the BFI Southbank, screenings will start with her early films, made before The Wizard of Oz turned her into a megastar, and then follow Garland’s career as she grew up on screen, from her first role as an adult in For Me and My Gal to the peak of her MGM career in Meet Me in St. Louis and her magnificent Oscar-nominated comeback performance in A Star Is Born. Over The Rainbow: A Queer Tour of The British Museum
Sacha and Sheldon are tour guides and queer historians. Join them for a LGBTQIA+ history tour at the British Museum, inspired by the colours of the rainbow flag. There's one stop for each colour of the iconic flag: Learn about artefacts in the museum that will resonate with LGBTQIA+ people today, and celebrate Pride in London through exploring the heritage and the significance of the rainbow in its many permutations.

‘That’s Drag’ Bingo
Another day, another bingo - told you we couldn't get enough. Looking for something exciting to do on a Saturday? Introducing ‘Looking for something exciting to do on a Saturday? Queer Britain Exhibition
The Queer Britain Exhibition in Granary Square, Kings Cross, was co-founded by Joseph Galliano and is dubbed the UK's first LGBTQ+ museum, where the communities and histories within the queer culture are celebrated.
The temporary display will be on show until 4 July, and entry is free for everyone. Guests will see work that was previously featured in a collaborative exhibition between Queer Britain, Getty Images and M&C Saatchi. There will also be images from the 2019 Chosen Family exhibition – a collaboration with Levi's and Queer Britain. Art, design and LGBTQ+ history curator for the Historic Royal Palace, Matthew Storey, has curated the display, so it'll surely be one not to miss!

Horse Meat Disco at the Roundhouse in Camden
Horse Meat Disco will be returning to the Roundhouse on Saturday 2 July, to celebrate fifty years of Pride. The DJ collective is formed of Luke Howard, Severino Panzetta, James Hillard and Jim Stanton. "The club is a place you can leave your cares at the door and be anyone you want to be," they have previously said. Their debut album, Love and Dancing, honours just that, and you can get down on the dancefloor to it at the Roundhouse in Camden!
