As for the tools for the job? I've tried pretty much every liner going. Forget stamps and stencils, in doubt, the only one that'll pretty much do the job for you is Rimmel's Wonder Wing Eyeliner. It looks like your usual felt-tip liner at the nib and will give a precise line along your lashes. Then, when you get to the flick, turn the liner on its side and it becomes a tapered wing shape that you can use to press the pigment on.

Don't need the extra help? I've never met an eyeliner I like more than Collection's ink pot and quill-style Fast Stroke liner. The lid is weighted to help the brush follow the curve of your eye precisely, the colour is jet black and the nib is nice and fine which means you can get a nice delicate wing. Oh, and it's £2.99.
