Oscars 2022: The most stunning beauty looks from the red carpet
The Oscars (AKA the Academy Awards) is the jewel in the crown of the award season and the biggest night of the year for the film industry. Held in Tinsel Town’s prestigious Dolby Theatre, the event is finally back to its full former glory after a quiet season last year. Responsible for some of the most iconic Hollywood beauty looks of all time, the Oscars is go-time when it comes to upping your glam, and if there were ever an event for the A-listers to go OTT with their hair and makeup, it’s this one, so we’re expecting huge things from the beauty looks.
Zoe Kravitz, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish and Zendaya all led the glamour. Zoe was channelling Audrey Hepburn, with a micro sweeping fringe, full groomed brows, kitten liner and a diamond choker. Megan served some next-level glam with immaculate edges, glossy lips and snatched liner. Billie traded in her grungey shag for a ladylike flicked bob. And Zendaya matched a wash of silver eyeshadow with her metallic mani and floor-length silver sequin skirt.
Meanwhile, Demi Singleton, who plays a young Serena Williams, in the Oscar-nominated biopic, King Richard, rocked a waist-length braid, delicately decorated with floral and butterfly gem hair accessories that referenced back to her pretty lilac dress. Lilacs and pastel pinks were a trend in general, with Lily James also choosing to wear the shade. Her hazy mauve eyeshadow gave a nod to her lacy pink floral dress and her deep brunette strands were a stark contrast to the bleach blonde Pammy updo she wore for her role as Pamela Anderson in Pam & Tommy.
As for the biggest look of the night? Side-parted hair won the evening with Penelope Cruz, Kristen Stewart, Billie Eilish, Regina Hall, Rachel Zegler, Jennifer Garner, Sofia Carson and Nicole Kidman all opting for the style.
