The Met Gala 2023 red carpet was dominated by headbands
It's the day after the Superbowl of Fashion, and our favorite looks of the night are on replay in our head.
The Met Gala 2023 theme challenged attendees to dress in honor of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. That said, there were a multitude of different renditions of the late designers most iconic moments in his career.
Gowns were captivating, the trains were royal, glam was thorough, and much like last year, headpieces dominated the carpet. Some were extravagant - like Tems and Florence Pugh - while others played into the simplicities of the theme with the chic yet infamous headband.
And when we say headband, we mean the padded ones, the stretchy ones, the bedazzled ones, and more. In the 1930s, Coco Chanel repositioned the headband as a high-fashion accessory. Soon made incredibly popular by the Chanel poster girl, Audrey Hepburn. Below, we take a look at our favorite headband moments at the 2023 Met Gala.
