Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's cutest couple moments
The past 18 months or so have been a real whirlwind for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. They welcomed their first child Archie in May 2019, went on a royal tour of southern Africa in September and October, launched a battle with the tabloids, stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US, signed a deal with Netflix and just this month, it was announced that they repaid the £2.4 million spent on Frogmore Cottage.
Phew. All in a year's work for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, hey?
And now, to celebrate Prince Harry's 36th birthday, we figured it would be fun to go through their cutest moments of 2019 and 2020 — both as a couple and new parents. We already know parenthood has profoundly impacted the both of them. "It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy," Markle said shortly after giving birth, while Prince Harry added, "It’s been great. Parenting is amazing."
But they've also shared some sweet moments just the two of them. The first thing that probably comes to mind is back in March – specifically 5th March, before the coronavirus lockdown – when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out for the Endeavour Fund Awards. Heading in to Mansion House, London, to celebrate the achievements of wounded servicemen and women, Meghan and Harry were seen smiling lovingly at each other – him holding an umbrella over the both of them, her holding his arm – totally unbothered by the torrential rain and unrelenting camera flashes surrounding them. The photo, below, captured by royal photographer Samir Hussein, will truly go down in history as one of the sweetest royal snaps ever taken.
