Mango has (finally!) launched homeware - and you're going to want every single item
It should come as no surprise that, having spent the year spent in varying degrees of lockdown, many of us are looking to spruce up our surroundings. Whether we're pruning our house plants, burning more candles than ever before or pretending to know something (anything!) about wall art, many of us who initially embarked on home improvements as a way to pass the time have now begun to really enjoy the process.
But if you thought adding to your wardrobe was an expensive process, zhuzhing up your home has likely been an even more thorough money-burning exercise. From coffee tables to bed linen, homeware comes at a surprisingly hefty price - which is why the rise in high street home stores has proven so popular.
Adding to its repertoire today, high street stalwart Mango has announced the launch of its debut homeware line - and we couldn't be more excited.
Drawing on its Mediterranean roots, the Spanish brand has focussed on textile pieces for the bedroom, the living room and the bathroom. It will add kitchen ad dining room categories later in the year for autumn/winter 2021.
Luxurious linens and clean organic cottons form the backbone of this initial drop, with bed linen, cushions, blankets, towels and bathrobes available in a stripped back aesthetic reminiscent of clean and contemporary Mediterranean style.
Adhering to Mango's commitment to sustainability, 75% of fabrics have sustainable properties while 80% of the items were produced in local countries with a reduced use of plastic packaging in order to limit delivery impact.
"Launching this new collection is a natural evolution for Mango in order to offer our customers a more lifestyle product," explained Laura Vila, Director of the Mango Home line. "The designs are inspired by the Mediterranean and we have used mainly natural and sustainable materials for the first part of the collection, which focuses on textile products."
