40 new looks that will change the way you dress next season

We know it feels early to be planning your winter 2016 wardrobe, but there's no harm in looking at what's in store for the new season ahead.
I've picked my 10 favourite looks from New York and London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week that are most likely to influence your style this year. From styling tips to the new colour combinations, see my guide to autumn/winter 2016-17:
IndigitalPFW: Vetements
Without taking the attention away from Demna Gvasalia's new baby Balenciaga. the designer still staged a great Vetements show. I love how modern he's made velvet look, especially when styled with a tradtional tartan shirt. The two colour red and maroon are the perfect match.
IndigitalPFW: Miu Miu
Always one to reinvent, I love the new Miu Miu denim jacket. Make sure you style with a shirt with giant collars for a modern update.
IndigitalPFW: Maison Margiela
I love this knitted arm muff. Knitwear is always big for winter, but this is a great way of updating your coats and jackets, plus you can be even more unique and knit your own!
IndigitalPFW: Loewe
Head-to-toe colours are super chic and wearable. More specifically, it means that, although less is more, why not be creative with your accessories? Layer necklaces, arranging them to sit on one side of the body. It's all in the details.
IndigitalPFW: Acne
I love an all-in-one and in leather this could be one my my favourite pieces for effortless dressing. I love the button details which show off a pop of red - definitely to be worn with flats.

PFW: Balenciaga
One of my favourite shows of the season. It's hard to pick one sole look, but for me I love a biker jacket and am always looking for new ways to wear it. So I will definitely be pulling mine back, allowing it to fall off the shoulder. Maybe I'll start wearing it with the new midi-skirt length that's all over the catwalks - super cool and effortless.
IndigitalPFW: Celine
Celine's Phoebe Philo is always one to inspire and this season is no different. I'm sure these pouch bags are going to be the new hands-free way we carry our bags everywhere.
IndigitalPFW: Louis Vuitton
I love the new lace-up boot that Nicolas has used throughout the show. Mixing black and navy is the perfect colour combo for me next season.
IndigitalPFW: Jacquemus
The shoulder is the new key fashion zone, whether it's open or enlarged focus on that area. Next season this would look great with my old high-waisted faded denim Levi's jeans.
IndigitalMFW: Prada
My favourite show of Milan. Who doesn’t want to be this girl? The key things here are the lace-up boots and Burlington tights, which will update anything in your winter wardrobe next season.
IndigitalMFW: Gucci
If I was a Gucci girl, this would be my coat of the season - a step away from creative director Alessandro Michele's strong colour palette. I love this oversized shape and would add colour underneath as seen here.
IndigitalMFW: Tod's
Posh punk starts here. Find a loose jumper and wear with a leather skirt or in this case a kilt. Hiking-style boots keep appearing on the SS16 catwalks, so definitely worth keeping your eyes open now for a pair.
IndigitalMFW: Costume National
There are tonnes of velvet on the catwalks and this is how I would want to wear it - head-to-toe in one colour it's the extension of the pyjama trend, but adding the neck scarf finishes this look perfectly.
IndigitalMFW: Ports 1961
Is khaki the new black? I would say yes and worn head-to-toe, it's the perfect winter combination.
IndigitalMFW: Missoni
I love how the knitted coat can take a standard trench coat and turn it into something else. Belt yours like you would a dressing gown and wind round twice for a similar look.
IndigitalMFW: Versace
I love the mixing of black and blue. The touches of patent give this sporty look a punk edge.
IndigitalMFW: Sportmax
Quilting the Milanese way. Using black and white to work through those contrasting textures is a great look.
IndigitalMFW: Jil Sander
I love the layers here. Asymmetric lines instantly update a skirt suit - this is a great office outfit.

MFW: Marni
I love this combination. A simple and effective look - try midi-length skirts with knee-high boots and tops with great sleeves.
IndigitalLFW: Alexander McQueen
One of my favourite shows of London. We can all see this look being rocked by the likes of Rihanna, so get your blankets out and start draping over clothing.
IndigitalLFW: Christopher Kane
Gone with the wind! I love these plastic head scarves - it should be a wardrobe must-have for next season. Stylish but practical headwear is hard to find.
IndigitalLFW: 1205
Simplicity still reigns and I love the the touch of bronze silk that injects a bit of colour. Also start thinking about layering dresses over trousers, its a 90s thing.
InDigitalLFW: Barbara Casasola
Don’t forget to think about all layers - even the right bra is important in your look next winter (even if it's just the strap that shows!)
IndigitalLFW: JW Anderson
This show was all about shape and colour and I love the way this feels sporty and modern, using shape as an emphasis. This top would also look great with jeans and that's always a good thing!
IndigitalLFW: Simone Rocha
Another of my favourite shows - Simone Rocha. The art of layering and undressing is a new way to wear eveningwear.
IndigitalLFW: Marques Almeida
One of my favourite London Fashion Week shows. I am a big fan of Marques Almeida and again quilting has been seen everywhere. I particularly love the giant shapes that are going on here.
InDigitalLFW: Topshop
Another strong coat style for next winter is the three quarter-length variety and I love the mix of fabrics seen here - quilting, leather and faux ponyskin.
IndigitalLFW: Joseph
Monochrome is so easy to wear. Work with crushed fabrics like these velvet trousers for a new update.

LFW: Toga
The new length of skirt is the midi - just add an ankle boot to make this look cooler.
InDigitalNYFW: DKNY
The dress over jeans look is a flashback moment from the 90s, but kept simple it still looks great.

NYFW:Proenza Schouler
This is the perfect outfit and all you need to know for the season ahead. The boxy jacket, the loose fit trousers and a touch of PVC - the look is simple and effortless.
IndigitalNYFW: Rodarte
The bare shoulder is a huge trend and I love this new way of evening dressing, mixing layers and lace.

NYFW: Beaufille
Look out for rope belts as they are the new must-have accessory and a cool instant update for coats, jeans and shirts. Their uses are never-ending.
IndigitalNYFW: 3.1 Phillip Lim
I love this layered look and the quilted jacket that feels modern and fresh against traditional checks.
IndigitalNYFW: Opening Ceremony
Off the shoulder tops become cooler when styled with jeans. The shape of the waistband here is very flattering especially for those of you with broad hips.

90s at its best in beige tones. The slip and coat together offers a more romantic approach to grunge dressing.
IndigitalNYFW: Tome
Oversized shapes look great when balanced with black and white .

NYFW: Sies Marjan
Gorgeous winter colour combinations nude and pink work perfectly together.
IndigitalNYFW: Altuzarra
I love metal and leather belts; they give pretty pieces an edge and can make silk shirt dresses feel a lot more rock 'n' roll.
IndigitalPFW: Chloe
Although the colour palette is not my favourite, what I love about this look is the layering. A big heavy jumper will still keep you warm and looks great contrasted against chiffon - it's a cool way to punk up pretty clothing.
