Courtesy of Shangri-La HotelsShangri-La The Shard, London
The Vibe: If you’re seeking escapism without leaving the city, the spa at Shangri-La The Shard offers it in spectacular style — a glass-walled haven where London sprawls out beneath you, every landmark sharp against the sky. From the Tower of London portcullis to Uber Boats threading the Thames far below, the view is a sweeping patchwork of old and new — and much like the best spa experiences: traditional and modern at the same time. Treatments take place in the dedicated Elemis spa rooms, set apart from the gym and infinity pool but sharing the same cinematic floor-to-ceiling views.
Come With: A friend in need of a deep reset — or solo for a rare moment of proper headspace.
Hero Treatment: A deep tissue massage so expertly delivered it felt like every knot, joint and lingering tension point simply melted away. Bonus points for the way Elemis therapists intuitively adjust the pressure, giving you a bespoke experience rather than a cookie-cutter rubdown.
You’ll Leave Feeling: Uplifted, rebalanced, and slightly in awe of the city you call home. (Pro tip: extend the high with sushi and a lychee martini at Gong, one of London’s highest bars, without even leaving the building.)

Spa at the Landmark London
The Vibe: Nestled within the grandeur of The Landmark London, the spa offers a peaceful retreat from the liveliness of London. While the hotel’s vibe gives Victorian elegance meets Hollywood glamour, with its breathtaking eight-story glass atrium, towering palm trees, and a Champagne bar, the spa is a calm and soothing escape. It features a 15-meter chlorine-free swimming pool (one of very few in the city), a fully equipped gym and a Jacuzzi, creating the perfect space to switch off and recharge. The spa’s four private treatment rooms offer an exclusive, indulgent experience. Thanks to its partnership with Germaine de Capuccini, one of Europe’s leading skincare brands, you can choose the perfect expert-led therapy, from restorative massages and full-body treatments to high-performance facials.
Come with: A glamorous girlfriend who loves to be spoiled and wind down in style.
Hero Treatment: ‘Sparkling Moments’ package, £155, full access to the spa, a 25-minute treatment and champagne and snacks for two at The Champagne Bar.
You’ll Leave Feeling: Refreshed and radiating a special kind of elegance.

Finish with a salt scrub and float in the salt bath Flotarium.

The Spa at Four Seasons London at Ten Trinity Square

Beneath this grand, landmark building is a hidden oasis. The spa reception sets the tone with its 22 carat, glittering gold walls, a promise of the opulence that awaits. The spa has a 14-metre indoor pool, a vitality pool, fitness studio, expansive gym, sauna, steam and hammam. The mood is serene and elegant, a calming mineral colour palette is throughout – with soft lighting and inviting loungers to drift away on. There’s seven treatment rooms available offering bespoke treatments by Voya and facials by Dr Burgener. A new partnership with science-led skincare brand QMS Medicosmetics also offers an exclusive specialised facial, designed to fortify and rejuvenate the skin, available now until 20 June 2024.
Come with: A friend you want to treat for a special occasion. Ideal for a bride-to-be.
Hero treatment: The ‘Traditional Hammam Ritual - Escape to Taliouine’. The Hammam is an ultra-purifying ritual aimed at cleansing the entire body through steam and heat. First, black salt is applied to detoxify, followed by a full body exfoliation with argan oil concentrate. The treatment finishes with a blend of milk, honey, and oils to replenish and nourish the skin. Warm water is poured over the body to prep the skin before each step, and the towel you lie on cleverly absorbs the water to gently keep you warm throughout the whole process. Feeling the water wash over you while the aromas from the oils fill the room was deeply relaxing, regulating the body’s energy. Truly divine.
You'll leave feeling: Lighter. The ideal tonic for stressed bodies and minds.
