At 3 o’clock in the morning everything is funny.

Blush pink tones and over-sized coats.

It’s really important to find your strengths in your weaknesses.
What have you learnt from stars like Jennifer Lawrence?
Stay true to who you are no matter how public your life is.
Rex FeaturesIs there an actor you really want to work with?
Oh yeah! Meryl Streep, it would be the ultimate dream.
What would you do if you could spend the day with Clary?
Roam the streets of New York and find a really cool underground art exhibition.
Rex FeaturesWhat was your favourite scene to film?
The greenhouse scene! Cue screams! It’s the climax of their romance.
How do you deal with fame?
Just live my life like I normally would. I don’t prepare for that kind of stuff.

Black & white photography, baking and antique shopping.
How was it being with Cassandra Clare and the cast?
A privilege to have Cassie on set and we all became like a family.

Obsessed by anything fantasy and magic. Always adventurous.
If you were a downworlder what type would you be?
I would be a faerie for sure. Flowers in my hair and wings.

I think just all the excitement for this really. It’s all an honour.Who are your fashion inspirations?
Audrey Hepburn, Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman and my mum.
Rex FeaturesPeople are obsessed by TMI, what is your obsession?
Harry Potter & shoes! I'd love to play Hermione in the films but Emma [Watson] did such a great job.
Did you do any improvisation when filming?
A lot of Jamie’s snarky one-liners were his and I did a lot of improv too.
Rex FeaturesIf you could meet any TMI character who would it be?
Magnus, he’s so fabulous!
When you read the books now do you picture yourself as Clary and everyone else as their characters?
Yes, at this point, although I hope when people read them they keep some of their own idea about the characters too.

The vampire scene. Running in those heels is scary enough!
Funniest person on set?
A toss-up between Jamie [Campbell Bower] and Kevin Zegers.
Rex FeaturesWhat’s your favourite band at the minute?
I really do love Katy Perry & Mumford - and One Direction!
Are you going to make all six movies?
I would be honoured to play Clary for as long as I can but I am only confirmed for the sequel at the moment.
Rex FeaturesFavourite outfit you wore as Clary?
As annoying as it was, probably the short dress and boots. I got to prove myself.
Your favourite actor/actress?
Meryl Streep.
You used to write for magazines, do you think you’ll go back?
I’d love to. Journalism is always something I’ve loved.
Which scene did you audition for Clary?
I didn’t have to audition, but it made the Jace auditions scary for me.
Rex FeaturesWas it tough to be surrounded by so many guys on set?
No, I’ve always liked being around guys.
What parts are you excited to shoot in City of Ashes?
I can’t talk about specifics but I'm excited for more action for Clary.
PA PhotosIf you could have superpowers what would they be?
I would love to be able to teleport myself.
