Liam’s obsessed with squirrels as they don’t have them in Australia. The first time he saw one was on the film lot at Disney World. He said: “I have an obsession with squirrels! I don’t trust ‘em, to be honest!”

Liam and his brother Chris used to fight a lot when they were young. When he was eight, he threw a knife at Chris but luckily just the handle hit his head. His mum once broke her finger trying to pull them apart when they were fighting.

Liam met Miley Cyrus while they filmed The Last Song in June 2009. In June 2012, after three years of on/off relationships, they announced they had got engaged. But cracks started to show and they split in September 2013 although still remain friends.
Recently he was asked about his ex, and he said: "You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage.
"I mean, look-we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be," he told Men's Fitness.
He continued: "She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."

Liam credits his best friend Jennifer Lawrence for helping him get over his break-up with Miley. Cringe! Liam's mum was a sex education teacher and taught him all about the birds and the bees. When asked what it was like to have his mum teaching sex education, he told Jay Leno: “She taught me for two years in a row. Exactly what you think it’s like! Really uncomfortable.” He continued, “It was interesting until she started talking about her own personal experiences, and that’s when I just head out the door! No child should have to be taught sex education by their mum.”
