Lavender grey hair is this season's fresh take on grey - and it's all over Instagram for festival season
We've seen terracotta and opal hair dominating Instagram so far this month but if the burnt orange or unicorn hue isn't to your taste, the fast-paced and fickle world of hair has served up yet another seasonal trend.
According to our friends over at US GLAMOUR, the latest hair trend to sweep social media is lavender grey.
The latest incarnation of the much-loved grey hair trend, lavender grey is described as 'a smoky grey base with a lavender tint'.

You can tailor the look to suit your preferences, whether that's a super light tinge or more of an ombré look.
Explaining the look to GLAMOUR, Jason Hogan, Celebrity and Associate Colourist at Josh Wood, said: "Lavender Grey is a playful twist on the silver manes we have seen over the last few years. A silver base with varying intensities of lavender, you can flirt with a palest violet hue or be more dramatic with deeper violet reflect."

Jason says the look is completely customisable on what the wearer wants and how bold they are willing to be.
"This is not low maintenance colour," he warns. "Those roots need to be retouched every 4-6 weeks and require frequent toners to keep the tone fresh, as well as regular masks at home to keep the condition and polish.
"A rooty look is an option for those cooler natural blondes but for those not wanting the commitment of an all-over change, hidden pockets of lavender grey work wonderfully with an ash blonde or smokey brunette."
Jason says these pockets of colour add drama when the hair is braided so are absolutely perfect for the approaching summer festivals.
