Justin Timberlake reveals why he really left NSYNC
Justin Timberlake has revealed the real reason he left popular boy band, NSYNC, back in 2002.
For years (15 to be exact), fans have wondered what exactly made JT say Bye Bye Bye to the group that shot him to fame as a teenager. And now, he's finally dished the dirt.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the 36-year-old hit-maker said: "I was about 15 or 16-years-old. We'd just given a concert in Germany at a festival on this huge field."
"And we were in the tour bus afterward, driving on a dirt road, and I looked out the window and saw all these young, impressionable females running after the bus...I think we can all agree that I did not have a normal childhood."
NSYNC, made up of Justin and fellow bandmates Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone sold over 70 million albums during their career together. But still, there was something missing for the Can't Stop The Feeling singer...
"I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group," he said. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart."
And boy, are we glad he did! It brought us the solo JT we all know and love today.

In 2013, NSYNC got together for a one-off reunion performanceat the MTV VMAs (it was EPIC). Despite announcing their hiatus in 2002, their break-up wasn't officially confirmed before 2007.
