Everyone's wondering WTF James Corden is doing in Oceans 8
Yesterday Ocean's 8 was trending on Twitter. The trailer dropped for the highly-anticipated all female next installment to the famous heist trilogy and it had the internet buzzing with excitement. We loved it all: from Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett's onscreen badassery, the incredible costumes, the Anna Wintour cameo and Rihanna serving lines.
Until. BECAUSE THERE IS AN UNTIL.
The entire trailer was going SO WELL - almost entirely female and 100% amazing - until James Corden popped on the screen for absolutely no reason at all (ok there probably is a reason, with him having a part and all) and went and ruined it for everyone.
Would this eight-strong female film be a failure without the inclusion of an already ubiquitous James Corden? Simply: WHYYYYY?
It seemed the Twittersphere shared our pain, and the chat show host and Carpool Karaoke frontman began trending...

Carpool Karaoke has seen big names from One Direction to Justin Bieber taking the passenger seat, but there's one man James has yet to pin down.
Speaking to British GQ, James revealed that Kanye West had been booked in for his slot in the skit twice, but something came up both times.
But the rapper was sorry on both occasions, even giving James gifts in the form of Yeezys and "three dozen white roses, arranged in the shape of a cube."

She had a speech and had a list of people she wanted to thank." We reckon she forgave him considering she went on Carpool (and is the most viewed one yet).

It's a good thing, as the star was recently hit with a £709,395 tax bill after shutting down JK Corden Limited - a company which he’d opened in 2003 after Gavin and Stacey - which advisors managed to battle down to an undisclosed smaller sum.It shouldn't be too hard for him to pay it off.

The house had been for sale for $24,000,000 but is thought to have been taken off the market now that it has been rented out to the Late Late Show television host.

The star who will front our July issue, spoke about the women in his life and equal rights, during his acceptance speech: "I've been very lucky that my whole life and career has been shaped by some very amazing women ... The truth is, wearing that t-shirt on that magazine [our July issue], it didn't even occur to me that it would be anything that would even be considered as brave, because I don't think it should be. I long for the day when it isn't a time where we talk about women's rights or equality or any of those things, and it would just be a matter of fact of the world that we're living in."
