People are only just realising why the cast of Inventing Anna look so familiar
By the looks of our Twitter feeds it seems like we’re all either fully obsessed with Inventing Anna or taking a tea break from an intense binge session as we speak.
If you're still unfamiliar with Inventing Anna, then please make your way to Netflix immediately. The series by Shonda Rhimes — creator of Bridgerton — tells the real-life story of Anna Sorokin who manages to swindle New York Elite circles and national banks out of $275,000 under a made-up alias of Anna Delvey, claiming she was the heiress to a trust fund of over $60 million.
You will have recognised a few familiar faces from the Netflix series. If not, then where have you been? It turns out that most of them come from one of the most iconic cinematic universe — Shondaland.
Did all of those shocking things actually happen?
It’s no secret that Shonda Rhimes is a powerhouse / force in Hollywood. Some of the best and world-renowned shows with mass followings that ran for an uncapped amount of seasons come from the creator, producer, and screenwriter. Last year, 82 million homes across the globe watched Bridgerton, making it the 2nd most-watched original series on Netflix; Grey’s Anatomy has been running for 18 seasons, and Scandal got us all on a chokehold for seven seasons straight.
If for every few scenes you are able to recognise the faces of the stars from some of your favourite shows then it’s no coincidence as Rhimes summoned the cast from Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal and her short-lived series For The People to make an appearance for her new Inventing Anna. One thing about Shonda, she will keep her team booked.
