The super slick trend has swept across the fashion capitals, proving one of the most popular hair looks of the season. First seen on the runway of Tom Ford, where hair was styled in a perfect side parting and smoothed across to a low chignon.

Another popular interpretation of Super Slick was the biker-chic, swept-back finish as seen at Proenza Schouler, Helmut Lang, Alexa Chung, Molly Goddard and Salvatore Ferragamo. The secret behind the look? Mousse. Lots of mousse.

Last season was all about the barrette, with Simone Rocha setting the trend with fancy pearl-adorned slides. This season, the designer gave hair accessories an edgier vibe, case in point this bejeweled black crowns. There was also chain headbands at Balmain, and newspaper print ribbons at Jeremy Scott.

Colour Clouds
We've seen pastel hair colour hit the big time over the past year or so, and colour cloud is the evolution of the popular look. Created by hair colour connoisseur Josh Wood backstage at Mary Katranzou, the look involves blurring out sections of bold colour for a dreamy finish.

Take inspiration from the models at Oscar de la Renta and up your ponytail game. Whether a velvet bow, or softly waved lengths, this season is all about the perfect low pony. Also seen at Victoria Beckham, who decided on straight and sleek long ponytails to compliment the clean lines of the collection.
