Great British Bake Off 2017: Meet the bakers you're going to be obsessed with

The break-out star of Great British Bake Off 2016, Selasi won over the hearts of the British public with his chilled-out attitude and extremely satisfying piping skills. So, this begs the question, who will be this yearâs Selasi?
Surrounded by controversy after the show was moved from the BBC to Channel 4, tonight's Great British Bake Off will reveal who is set to be the nationâs favourite baker. But who will impress new judge Prue Leith and Bake Off veteran Paul Hollywood?
Channel4Flo
Liverpool-born mother and grandmother, Flo is a full-on joker. Not only has she got the gift of the gab (that is if you can understand her fast-talking Liverpudlian accent) but she has the talent to back it up â her watermelon cake will have you running to get your five a day. Flo definitely knows her way around Cake Week so we think she will shine at Dessert Week.
Channel4Steven
Steven is probably the dark horse of this season. Although he is not given a large amount of screen time in the first episode, his cooking speaks volumes. His illusion âcake that doesnât look like a cakeâ showstopper is truly outstanding. We peg him for the final â you heard it here first.
Channel4Sophie
Former Officer in the Royal Artillery, Sophie has definitely got a whole host of creative creations in her arsenal. Battling it out for the esteemed title of Great British Bake Off Winner 2017, Sophieâs champagne cake will blow you away (pun not intended).
Channel4Kate
An amateur blacksmith â yes you read that correctly, Kate is bringing the tools of her trade to this yearâs Bake Off. Hailing from Merseyside like her fellow baker Flo, Sophie has never made a mini chocolate roll before. Fun fact.
Channel4Liam
The youngest of the baking bunch, Liam has a lot to prove but we expect big things from him. An expert in Instagramâs favourite dessert âFreakshakesâ according to his VT, we think he will do well on Biscuit Week. Can Liam please send the leftovers of his incredible pancake cake to the GLAMOUR office?
Channel4Stacey
Every year thereâs a âre-doerâ on Bake Off, who in the very limited time restraints manages to start from the beginning. This is Stacey. She had quite the nightmare this week but weâd still love to take her red velvet handbag cake on any night out.

Yan may have forgotten to turn the oven on, but sheâs bringing the science side of cooking to this yearâs show. Currently a laboratory research scientist, we are OBSESSED with her ramen illusion cake.
