Could this be the reason Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid broke up?
They were one of Tinseltown's most-loved couples but Zayn Malik has confirmed that he and Gigi Hadid have split up.
Taking to Twitter, the former One Direction star confirmed that he and his supermodel girlfriend have broken up after two years together.
Rumours started to swirl that the 25-year-old singer and 22-year-old model had gone their separate ways and, just hours later, Zayn posted this on his Twitter account.

His post read: 'Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul.
'I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ'
Gigi also took to social media to bid farewell to the relationship, which is intriguing given her display during one of her first outings after the split.

Arriving back home in New York on March 15, Gigi stepped out with her phone on show at every press opportunity - revealing a very interesting message on the back of it...
It reads: "Social media seriously harms your mental health"
We don't have any details on why they split but it's been reported that work strains and long distance were to blame. Could the added pressure of having fans comment on their every move also have become too much for the pair?
A source told The Sun: 'They are no longer a couple but they do remain close and are supportive of each other. The reality is that they’ve grown apart, having been together for a long time. They have crazy work schedules that would put pressure on any relationship.'
Zayn and Gigi became official back in January 2016, six months after he and Little Mix star, Perrie Edwards, broke up.
They have since deleted all traces of each other on their social channels.
We are sad to see this pair go their separate ways but wish them all the best.
