Game Of Thrones... the best off-set style moments from Season 7's leading ladies

It's one of life's sweet joys seeing our favourite characters from film and TV lose the costumes they've become synonymous with and go au naturel on the red carpet. Some are even unrecognisable, and it's never been more relevant for the Game of Thrones crew.
The fashion in Game of Thrones is something to behold (and serious kudos for the costume designers for that), from flowing Grecian gowns to structured separates and badass armour. So when we see the show's leading ladies off-screen, it's totally fascinating.
Check out the best style moments from the GOT leading ladies (sans the armour)...
Rex FeaturesGilly - a member of the Free Folk - has had a tough life, so getting her hair did and putting on makeup is the least of her worries. The actress who plays her on the other hand, Hannah Murray, looks quite stunning on the red carpet. Gilly scrubs up!
Getty ImagesWe rarely see Nathalie Emmanuel out of Missandei's neutral tones and Grecian style gowns, so her Season 7 premiere dress - an eye-catching Vivienne Westwood gown (worn with Sophia Webster shoes) - was a pleasant surprise.
Getty ImagesWe already know that Sophie Turner is an amazing dresser, but this Louis Vuitton dress is next level!
Getty ImagesWe know Indira Varma better as Oberyn's widow Ellaria Sand in GOT. In the show, she wears some spectacular dresses, so we're pleased her off-screen wardrobe matches up.
Getty ImagesMaisie Williams was a vision in green at the GOT Season 7 premiere wearing a satin Milly slip dress.
Getty ImagesWe haven't seen Ygritte on our screens for a while now (and we don't plan to unless she pulls a Jon Snow and rises from the dead), but Rose Leslie is still serving looks on the red carpet.
Getty ImagesBrienne of Tarth SCRUBS. UP. GOOD.
Rex FeaturesMelisandre, we didn't recognise you with clothes on!
Getty ImagesSophie Turner looked, how do you put it? SPICY, at the SAG Awards 2017 in Louis Vuitton.
Rex FeaturesWe could actually see Daenerys Targaryen in this number. Just add some metal arm cuffs. and some dragons.
Getty ImagesMaisie Williams kept to her adorable signature style in a skater dress at the BAFTAs.
Getty ImagesEmilia Clarke's recent appearance saw her experiment with stylish wildlife. What do you think about the star's mini dress?
GettyHow low can you go? Natalie Dormer looked foxy during the Game Of Thrones series 5 world premiere in London. Sophisticated and sexy.
PA PhotosSophie Turner opted for Monochrome during the season 5 world premiere. We love the low slung mullet hem on this Marios Schwab dress.
PA PhotosGwendoline Christie didn't play it safe in a sleeveless silk coat worn as a top. It's a strong look but it's divided GLAMOUR HQ.
Rex FeaturesMaisie Williams is the epitome of cute style in this sweet polka-dot top and white skirt combo. This is the perfect springtime work to dinner ensemble.
Rex FeaturesMaisie's co-star, Sibel Kekilli, is the polar opposite in a slouchy all-black ensemble. We love an alternative red-carpet effort.
Getty ImagesWe've decided as a group that Diana Rigg's character Olenna Tyrell is the real queen of Game of Thrones. And her off-screen style is equally badass.
Rex FeaturesEmilia Clarke went for something a little different at the Game Of Thrones Season Four premiere in New York in March 2014, opting for this midi-length gothic-inspired DKNY dress. The GOT beauty paired her dramatic dress with a 20s inspired ‘do and a metallic wash over her eyes.
Rex FeaturesSibel Kekilli went for winter whites in this floor-length number.
Rex FeaturesLena Headey opted for this dramatic black gown by Jenny Packham for her red carpet turn - and looked utterly fantastic in the process.
Rex FeaturesRose Leslie was another star to opt for floor-length snowy white in this stunning gown.
Rex FeaturesLittle Maisie Williams meanwhile, kept up with her older co-stars in this lovely white mini dress.
Rex FeaturesNever failing to stun on the red carpet, is Gwendoline Christie who went for the trend du jour in this monochromatic creation by Giles.
PA PhotosEmilia Clarke gets it right again in a figure-hugging Calvin Klein Collection gown at the 2014 SAG Awards. We love the way her asymmetric dress and side-swept hair follow the same direction – that is one well thought-out look.
PA PhotosNatalie Dormer showed off her head-turning new hairstyle at the SAGs. Her Marios Schwab dress with punky black netted cut-off shoulders, complemented her new undercut perfectly.
Rex FeaturesMaisie Williams looked adorable in her all-white frock joining her fellow castmates at the Awards.
PA PhotosLena Headey stood out from the crowd in this striped Jenny Packham gown. She teamed it with a simple chignon and coral lips.
Photo by David M. Benett/Getty Images for Gordon'sNatalie Dormer, otherwise known as Margaery Tyrell, stuck to monochrome for a night out in celebration of Temperley and Gordon's gin. The blonde actress wore the Hemingway blouse and Tristan skirt from the British brand’s collection.

Rex FeaturesFierce as Brienne of Tarth on the show and super fierce in the fashion world – she is rumoured to be Giles Deacon’s girlfriend - it’s no wonder Gwendoline Christie packs a punch on the red carpet in this monochrome get-up – given extra dazzle with a pair of gold shoes.
Rex FeaturesIt’s a bit more polished than Daenerys’ usual attire, but Emilia is every inch a Khaleesi in this gorgeous beaded Dior gown.
Rex FeaturesMargaery would be proud – this power leather look is strong and feminine – fit for a future Queen. Although we have to admit we could totally see Brienne of Tarth in this – it reminds us of armour just a little bit.
Rex FeaturesEmilia is every inch the red-carpet queen in a bright blue Victoria Beckham strapless dress – and whilst we adore Daenerys and her long blonde locks on screen, the slicked down brown hair and centre part is the perfect partner to a modern gown.
Rex FeaturesCersai’s wardrobe staples include grand trumpet-sleeved gowns in ruby and emerald hues, with the occasional fur robe thrown in for good measure. So it’s good to see Lena loves dramatic fashion choices as much as her on-screen character – dominating the red carpet at the Game of Thronespremiere in an all-white, flared leg jumpsuit.
Rex Features"- Do you want to be a queen? - No...I want to be the Queen" said Margaery to Petyr. Well, this Roland Mouret gown (Kate Middleton’s go-to label for a sexier take on royal style) makes Natalie the queen of the red carpet in our eyes.
Rex FeaturesOona Chaplin (known to us as healer Talisa Maegyr) channels grandfather Charlie with her black bowler hat – although the rest of the outfit is pure Spanish siren. King Robb Stark’s a lucky man.
Rex FeaturesWe’ve seen Sibel Kekilli step out in white a fair few times on the red carpet – and this ethereal floor-length number is a million miles away from handmade Shae’s look on the show.
PA PhotosRecognise this vivacious brunette? No, we didn’t, either. But bow down, because she’s the Khaleesi! At the Monte Carlo Television Festival last June, Emilia Clarke looked a million miles from her warrior queen character in this Riviera-chic dress by Emilia Wickstead (who, of course, is also a favourite of Kate Middleton), with Jimmy Choos.

Rex FeaturesSophie Turner may be best known as fragile queen-in-waiting Sansa Stark but off-screen, she’s keen to prove she knows her style beans. Witness this layered LBD look, with well-considered red accents, which she wore to the Game Of Thrones DVD premiere in February 2012.

Rex FeaturesDo you recognise the statuesque beauty who played a chic game of masquerade at Perrier-Jouet’s Bicentennary Party in October 2011?
Getty Images...It’s ice-cool blonde Gwendoline Christie, aka Brienne of Tarth, who is quite the fashionista in real life. We snapped her at the London Fashion Week spring/summer 2012 shows, playing up her androgynous good looks in a gorgeous faux fur.

PA PhotosEmilia Clarke enjoyed a real fashion moment at the closing ceremony of the 2011 Monte Carlo Television Festival courtesy of this stunning feather-trimmed Emanuel Ungaro dress and Sergio Rossi heels. We love how she loves to take a risk (albeit a fashion-related one!), much like her Thrones character.

WennLena Headey was a well-established actress before landing the part of scheming Cersei Lannister, which means she’s quite the style pro when it comes to red carpet dressing. Case in point? This Alessandra Rich gown (also spotted on Jessica Brown Findlay), which shows off her dramatic, cropped, dark ‘do to perfection.

PA PhotosWe'd clocked Natalia Tena’s bonkers Brit style long before she was cast as Osha in Game Of Thrones. There was no missing her on the red carpet at the world premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (in which she played Nymphadora Tonks), in this floral dress/cowboy boots get-up.

Getty ImagesWhen she's not pretending to be a boy on-set, Arya - sorry, Maisie Williams - likes to try out a more feminine style. Cue this white, ruffled dress and tan wedges, which she wore to the UK premiere of Mirror Mirror.

Rex FeaturesShe can do tailoring, too! Emilia Clarke eschewed the designer dress rail for pared back separates at a Game Of Thrones photo call in London in May 2011.

Rex FeaturesAs flame-haired Wildling Ygritte in Game Of Thrones, Rose Leslie is seen exclusively bundled in layers and layers of skins on screen. Outside of work, however, her sartorial sense is more honed – we loved how she paired this bright maxi with a cool T at a Quntessentially party last year, for example.

WennShe worships the Lord Of Light as Melisandre, but in real life, Dutch actress Carice van Houten has more conventional tastes - particularly when it comes to fashion. This flapper-inspired look, which she wore to a 2011 film premiere in Berlin, was a real moment.

Rex FeaturesEx-Skins actress Hannah Murray – aka put-upon Gilly, the pregnant daughter of Craster who catches the eye of hapless Night Watchman Sam in Season Two – has dressing for England’s summer season down to a T. She wore this simple, flower-print shift with nude ballet pumps to the 2012 St Regis International Polo Cup in May.

Rex FeaturesShe plays the shrewd Margaery Tyrell in Game Of Thrones and off-screen, Natalie Dormer is fairly self-assured too – if her style is anything to go by. This casually thrown-together blouse and skirt affair works brilliantly, thanks to the addition of those fashion-forward booties.

PA PhotosAs Shae, the fiercely protective muse of Tyrion Lannister, German actress Sibel Kekilli is one of our favourite Thrones characters and in real life, we're big fans of her style, too. She rocks a frothy ball gown with a tailored blazer like no-one's business - here, at a Berlin Film Festival premiere earlier this year.

PA PhotosWe couldn't help but think that Maisie Williams looked a little uncomfortable in this barely-there outfit and a fully made-up face at the Game Of Thrones Season Two London launch in February 2012, but we're still pegging her as one to watch in the style stakes.

PA PhotosWho would’ve picked Michelle Fairley, who plays virtuous matriarch Catelyn Stark, as a lover of directional fashion? Not us – but the quiff and the feather-trimmed jacket she wore to the Thrones London launch in February proved it to be unmistakably so. Love. Her.

PA PhotosNote how Emilia Clarke gravitates towards show-stopper dresses that feature heavily-embellished skirts – we certainly have. This beautiful aqua creation, which she teamed with a contrasting pink lip and satin heels at a Thrones party in February 2012, was no exception.
