We take a look back at what 25 of our favourite stars wore on their first ever Oscars red carpet
With this year's Oscars ceremony only a matter of days away, stylists and their Hollywood muses will be busy adjusting, finalising and perfecting their sartorial spectaculars.
After what has been almost two months of powerful red carpet statements in support of the Time's Up movement - see the blackouts at the Golden Globes' and the BAFTAs, and the white roses at the Grammys and the BRITs - it will be interesting to see if, or how, the biggest and final ceremony of awards season responds.
But while we wait until March 4th to find out, the GLAMOUR office has been on a deeply nostalgic trip down memory lane reminiscing over what some of our favourite stars wore for their Oscar debuts.
Remember Angelina Jolie's vampy Versace vibe in 2000? The first time she attended the Oscars on her own merit - she joined her acting legend father Jon Voight at the event in 1998 - saw the actress opt for an entirely black ensemble all the way from her hair to her heels.
On the other end of the spectrum, how about Gwyneth Paltrow's candyfloss pink Ralph Lauren number? It may have garnered mixed reactions when she hit the 1999 red carpet (even her mother was unimpressed!) but we're still feeling it 19 years on.
