We've filtered through the TV riff-raff to bring you all the best in what's on this Christmas.
Whether that be new releases or Christmas specials of old favourites, there'll be no need to leave your sofa right through to the New Year (except to get up for Christmas dinner, of course).
From Gogglesprogs (that's Gogglebox but with kids, BTW), Billionaire Boy and Downton Abbey right through to brand new David Attenborough material, we've got you sorted. Oh, and not forgetting the BBC1 doc-drama about penguins that everybody is talking about...

NetflixA Very Murray Christmas

Nothing says Christmas like the cynical mutterings of the original scrooge himself, Bill Murray. And now, thanks to Netflix, A Very Murray Christmas starring Bill and a whole host of celebrities will be gracing our screens this December.
The special, which was directed by Sofia Coppola, will feature Bill Murray as himself worrying that his TV show will be ruined by a New York City snowstorm. But don't worry: through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him "dancing and singing in holiday spirit", Netflix has teased.
Miley Cyrus, Amy Poehler, George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Chris Rock, Jason Schwartzman and loads more celebrities make up the celeb cast. Unmissable.
ITVThe Only Way is Essexmas

When? Wednesday 16 December from 10pm
The Only Way Is Essexmas is back and it will see the return of three old faces: Gemma Collins, Mario Falcone and Mark Wright's ex-finance, Lauren Goodger.
Jess and Danni get a shock when Pete and Lockie arrive amidst their festive break, with both couples then finding themselves in make or break conversations. Old wounds surface for Danni as she breaks down, but the question remains: will they, won't they?

For a cause that saw Phillip Schofield flashing his bum, ITV's Text Santa is surely a Christmas TV-can't-miss.
The annual fundraising appeal that will feature hosts such as Caroline Flack, Holly Willoughby, Keith Lemon and Amanda Holden, raises money to help families affected by crisis; from granting wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions, to funding nurses so those with cancer get the care they need. Make it part of your Christmas TV schedule.

BBC PicturesSnow Chick

Behold the Christmassy BBC offering of 2015 that is set to challenge The Snowman.
Voiced by none other than Kate Winslet and pinned by the BBC as "one of the greatest wildlife stories ever told”, Snow Chick will tell the story of an emperor penguin chick growing up in the coldest place on Earth in the middle of the Antarctic winter. Centering on the adorable and charismatic penguin chick, the film will follow his adventures from the time he emerges from the egg to the moment he leaves for the sea as an adolescent.
The BBC have assured us that the new natural history commission will "enchant and enthrall viewers with a unique and heart-wrenching real life story about penguins."
We will unashamedly be watching every second of this on Christmas day. Mince pies and all.
BBC PicturesEastenders

The Eastenders Christmas day episode always seems to involve some kind of jolly gathering, usually ending in some sort of fight and/or murder.
With this year set to be no different, EastEnders actress Laurie Brett, who plays Jane Beale, has revealed that the episode will be all about the Beales: "All I’ll say is that there is a line in there saying something like, 'this is going to be the best Christmas ever', which I think says it all." Err, we highly doubt it, then.
Laurie went on: "I’m pretty sure Bobby is quite damaged and I think there may be things coming up in the future that will be hard on him. But who knows how he’ll react? Watch this space!"

Doctor Who Christmas Special

In the episode titled The Husbands of River Song, guest star Alex Kingston will return to Doctor Who for the Christmas special as the Doctor's time-travelling wife.In a teasing synopsis, the BBC tell us: “It’s Christmas Day on a remote human colony and the Doctor is hiding from Christmas Carols and Comedy Antlers. But when a crashed spaceship calls upon the Doctor for help, he finds himself recruited into River Song’s squad and hurled into a fast and frantic chase across the galaxy. King Hydroflax (Greg Davies) is furious, and his giant Robot bodyguard is out-of-control and coming for them all. Will Nardole (Matt Lucas) survive? And when will River Song work out who the Doctor is?”

This one has us particularly excited. As a Gogglebox Christmas spin-off, Gogglesprogs passes the remote to the kids.
The usual sofa cast will be replaced with children alternatives - such as Jacob and Connor (pictured) - as they give their views on the television of week. Studio Lambert Creative Director Tim Harcourt, said: "We have seen that kids say the funniest things on TV, and this version of the Channel 4 hit will allow school children from different backgrounds to do this as they react to their screens – big and small." He went on: "We think that this Christmas special will show more than their views on visual content and TV today, it will reveal how they see the world around them."
ITV PicturesDownton Abbey Christmas Special

This is not only the Christmas special, but it's the last episode of Downton Abbey, one of the most successful period dramas of all time. Weep.
In the two-hour-long special, there are a lot of questions to be answered: Will unlucky-in-love Edith reconcile with her ex-fiancée, Bertie Pelham? Will the birth of Mr & Mrs Bates' child go smoothly? Is Lady Rose pregnant?

BBC PicturesDavid Attenborough's Great Barrier Reef

David Attenborough's dulcet tones will be gracing our ears once more. This time, he explores the famous Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia and it sounds AH-MAZ-ING.
Nearly 60 years since he last filmed on the reef, Attenborough has returned to make a three-part BBC series which will use all of the latest in cutting-edge camera technology and filming techniques to explore the usual wildlife and stunning scenes. At the premiere of the series in London, David described the Barrier Reef as "an enormous piece of costume jewellery clinging to the bosom of Australia". We can't wait.

Based on the book by David Walliams, Billionaire Boy tells the story of Joe, a young boy with a billionaire father who appears to have everything he could want, but what he really needs is a friend.
When speaking about the drama - which stars Elliot Sprakes, John Thompson, James Fleet, Rebecca Front and Warwick Davis - David Walliams says: "I am thrilled we have put together another all-star cast of comedy greats for this adaptation. The script is bigger and better than the book and I am excited for everyone to see it on BBC One at Christmas." Of course David will be in it too, playing the school dinner lady, Mrs Trafe. We're setting the reminder right now.
BBCSherlock Christmas Special

Last but not least is the Christmas installment of everyone's favourite detective show: Sherlock. The Christmas Special, named The Abominable Bride, will be Sherlock but with a twist...
Instead of the usual modern day setting, this Christmas special takes Sherlock and Watson back to the time of steam trains, hansom cabs, top hats and frock-coats in Baker Street, London. The BBC have teased about the plot, saying: "Why is Thomas Ricoletti a little surprised to see his wife dressed in her old wedding gown? Because, just a few hours before, she took her own life… Mrs Ricoletti’s ghost now appears to be prowling the streets with an unslakeable thirst for revenge. From fog-shrouded Limehouse to the bowels of a ruined church, Holmes, Watson and their friends must use all their cunning to combat an enemy seemingly from beyond the grave and the final, shocking truth about… the Abominable Bride!"

You've probably seen posters of it decorating every train station and London Underground tube escalator. Now, Gypsy, the critically-acclaimed musical, is set to be opened up to the nation with a special commission on BBC4.
Starring Imelda Staunton as Momma Rose and filmed in the Savoy Theatre, Gypsy the musical is a revival of the original 1959 version. Based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, Gypsy focuses on her mother, Momma Rose, whose name has become synonymous with 'the ultimate show business mother.
For all musical lovers, this is one for you.
