The chicest celeb tattoos to get some inspo for your next inking, from Ariana Grande's famous butterflies to Dua Lipa's tiny finger tats
These days, getting a tattoo is about as normal as adding another piercing to your constellation. Whether it's a statement piece, a dinky inking woven between fingers or a design etched on the side of a rib cage, it seems everyone's at it. Some of our favourite celebs regularly share their new ink in Instagram posts, and now we're on the flipside of lockdown, we predict they'll be adding even more to their collection (like the rest of us).
Take Vanessa Hudgens for example, she recently used her new-found freedom to add a tenth design to her body with a Boa snake climbing up the back of her ankle.

She's not the first actress to rep the reptile either, with Zoe Kravitz etching the symbol onto her wrist, then another on the inside of her arm. Known to shed its own skin, the snake is often considered an emblem of growth and transformation.

Ariana's famous inkings are so synonymous with her, she included them in the lyrics to her 7 Things hit, singing "girls with tattoos who like getting in trouble." Alongside a series of butterflies on her upper arm, the singer has lots of tiny meaningful inscriptions, like the worker bee she added behind her ear in memory of the fans from her Manchester concert.

Game Of Thrones actress, Sophie Turner, had an illo of a direwolf, her character's family sigil, with the words "The pack survives" added to her elbow – a reference to the fact that all of the Stark children survive the series. But since she debuted the art before the final series aired, she told fans: "It’s just a quote from last season but everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral I like to live by."
