You have to have confidence to carry off this Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, simply because it’s just so short! Never one to shy away from a fashion challenge, Diane Kruger’s toned legs did the hemline justice, while her beige platforms were an inspired choice of footwear.

Leather is trending this season so top marks to Carey Mulligan who championed British designer Christopher Kane in this embroidered and lace-trim smock.
Michelle Williams in Erdem
Michelle Williams spawned a hundred copy-cat outfits when she stepped out in Erdem’s Margot dress at the BFI Film Festival in October. A lace overlay and bright red can be a dangerous combination but the dress’ 50s shape prevents it from being anything other than elegant.

Lea Michele proved she had just as much sparkle as the stars around her at the SAGs, in a gold Oscar de la Renta’s plunging evening dress. While the gown’s ultra-skinny belt was colour co-ordinated, Lea opted for contrasting accessories, wearing silver and diamond bracelets over her famous tattoo.
Keira Knightley in Burberry
For off-duty chic, Keira Knightley opts for clothes that are comfortable as well as stylish - this sheepskin jacket from Burberry ticks both these boxes. No wonder Keira doesn’t seem to have taken it off during her winter stint in the West End!
Cheryl Cole in Versace
This racy take on the LBD (it’s cut away at the side and back) by Versace has become a favourite among celebs wanting to make a mark on the red carpet. Cheryl Cole worked the look with some red heels and a lick of lippy at the National TV Awards.
Demi Moore in Victoria Beckham
Demi Moore was fashion-forward in this futuristic dress designed by none other than Victoria Beckham. As if the dress itself didn’t have enough shine, Demi added her own with a pair of patent ankle boots and an envelope clutch.
January Jones in Versace
January Jones certainly raised the temperature at the Golden Globes this year in this risqué, tasselled gown from Versace. In comparison, the runway version of the same dress looks relatively demure, don’t you think?
Leighton Meester in Louis Vuitton
Despite its plunging neckline, Leighton Meester seemed relaxed at a NY gala in this sparkly number from Louis Vuitton because she made it work for her. The Gossip Girl star accessorised the gown with a pair of satin peep-toes and a floral clutch, and forewent jewellery so it was her dress that got all the attention.
Katy Perry in Issa
What can we say? Katy Perry really brought this one-shouldered Issa to life at a recent charity event with her Rapunzel-esque mane and sky-high stilettos. Perfection from Perry? We think so!
Jacquetta Wheeler in Erdem
Jacquetta Wheeler added a rock chick vibe to her Erdem florals, wearing this weaved leather biker jacket and thick black tights. The model finished off this cute ensemble with a pair of red peep-toes and matching lippy.
Emma Watson in Burberry
Emma Watson showed us that she’s developing a bit of a wild side by wearing this very cool, studded version of the classic Burberry trench coat. But the Harry Potter actress managed to keep the outfit sophisticated as well, by teaming it with a preppy mini dress from Carven and matching peep-toe heels.
