Bob haircuts dominated the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet

Red carpet hair trends come and go, but bob haircuts are here to stay. Case in point: the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet was brimming with bobs.
Several nominees sported the style, including GLAMOUR Women of the Year honoree, America Ferrera, who attended in support of Barbie, Emma Stone, who's nominated for her work in Poor Things, and Ayo Edebiri, who's nominated for for her work on The Bear.

GLAMOUR's 2023 Women of the Year honoree debuted her own fresh take on the undone bob, styled by hairstylist Aviva Jansen Perea using Briogeo products and the Dyson Round Volumizing Brush, Dyson Corrale hair styler straightener, and Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.

Gerwig, who's up for best director and best screenplay for Barbie, sported a side-swept bob pixie — also known as a bixie —for the occasion. The director also her skin prepped by makeup artist Molly Stern using Le Domaine Skincare.

Emma Stone's cool girl bob may be growing out, but it's still technically in bob territory. The Poor Things nominee's hair was styled by celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak, who used RŌZ Root Lift Spray and RŌZ Santa Lucia Styling Oil to create the look.

Mulligan, who's nominated for her performance in Maestro, rocked a petite French bob on the red-carpet. She was styled using Bumble & Bumble products, and her hair colour was created by celebrity colourist and OLAPLEX Global Ambassador and Tracey Cunningham.
“When I first did this blonde on Carey, she was already highlighted, so I had to go in between and take out all the dark pieces and really lighten her up. Now, she’s a very pale baby blonde,” Tracey said, adding that she used OLAPLEX Broad Spectrum Chelating Treatment to prep her hair for chemical treatment.

Ayo, who's nominated for her portrayal of Sydney Adamu on The Bear, debuted a chic Italian bob. Celebrity makeup artist Dana Delaney also used Benefit Cosmetics to achieve Ayo's glam, while celebrity hairstylist Miles Jeffries used Maui Moisture products to create the sleek hairstyle.
“Before blow drying I prepped the hair with Maui Moisture Frizz-Free Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Mist and Maui Moisture Flexible Hold + Coconut Milk Curl Foam Mousse,” he said. “I then went through and smoothed the hair with a flatiron and a 1” curling iron being sure to add kicks and bends for a softer sleek look with some movement and a little flip.”

Greta, who's nominated for Past Lives, wore an Old Hollywood bob to the Golden Globes, which inspired celebrity makeup artist Naoko Scintu's vision for her glam. "I wanted to create a modern take on a classic look with a fresh dewy cheek coupled with a hint of colour on the lips," said Naoko, who used Sisley-Paris Colour Cosmetics products to create the look.
