For 2022, so many designers - and high street brands - have been inspired by the slinky silhouettes of the 1930s. This was the era when Hollywood glamour reigned with Mae West, Jean Harlow and Greta Garbo stealing the show, often in ice white satin gowns that were halter neck, barely there and bias cut. Pretty Lavish’s satin gown totally echoes the era while Roksanda’s silk-crepe dress moves into the 1940s with a stronger shoulder line and puffier sleeves.
