Netflix have announced a music documentary about Kanye West called 'JEEN-YUHS'
If you're anything like us, music documentaries make for the best watches. Kanye West may not always have a way with his words, but his musical brilliance is undeniable, so it was about time Netflix nabbed the story of Yeezuz himself and named it ‘JEEN-YUHS’ for as all to dissect in the new year.
He has recently been making headlines once again for calling for his estranged wife and mother of his children, Kim Kardashian to ‘Run Right Back To Him’ during a benefit concert. On a viral clip of the rapper performing ‘Runaway’, Kanye expresses his love for Kim K in the best way he knows how, in front of 70,000+ people and through song lyrics, and we're super curious about everything he gets up to.
Here is what we know about the new doc. Netflix has announced the release of a multi-part Kanye West documentary, with footage dating back 21 years in the making. The project will be directed by Clarence ‘Coodie’ Simmons and Chike Ozah, who were the filmmakers behind some of Kanye’s most notable and iconic music videos like ‘Through the Wire’ and ‘Jesus Walks’.
It will feature never-seen-before footage, focusing on his music career, his fashion business, his family business, his failed presidential run, the touching loss of his mother, Donda West, and many of Kanye’s most controversial moments. We can only speculate whether it will touch on the rise and fall of KimYe or other contentions moments in Kanye’s career like the Taylor Swift ‘Imma let you finish’ saga or even his outburst through that heated TMZ-slavery-comments-gate interview.
The documentary is due to be released in 2022. Although we are yet to receive a specific release date, once we do, you’ll be the first to know.
