So we think we've found it: the most amazing festival-ready beauty look. And guess what? It comes direct from makeup artists backstage at a high fashion catwalk show.
In a bid to discover if backstage beauty looks are actually wearable IRL, we tried out a number of bold makeup and hair ideas - and we think we've found our favourite.
This amazing Preen SS17 floral design totally blew us away when we saw it on the catwalk, but we always wondered if we could actually pull it off in real life.
Well, the good news is that we totally adored the look when we tried it ourselves. We would wholeheartedly recommend giving this a go for a festival this summer.

If your long hair is prone to forming unwanted dreadlocks after a day in the fields, take evasive action by braiding the under sections of your hair into mini braids.

Create extra texture in a simple ponytail by crimping small sections before pulling back into a low pony. For a field-friendly version, just create mini plaits throughout your hair before bedding down for the night, which will be nicely crimped come morning.

There's no better time to experiment with colour than for a festival; keep make-up minimal and go for an all-over wash of temporary pastel colour a la Jourdan Dunn. Hair chalks are great for experimenting, too.
