AW15 Trend: The bedhead
AW15 saw countless models strut down the runway with low-maintance, "unkempt" hair. From Celine to Chloe, Derek Lam to Dries Van Noten and Roberto Cavalli to Rodarte, it was one of the most showcased hairstyles of the season.
With September just around the corner, the great news is that you can recreate the I-just-got-out-of-bed look without the experts. Whether your hairlength is long, a lob or even a short bob, this look works best on second-day hair and ideally should be prepped the evening before your next-day showcase. Remember, like no-make-up-make-up is actually code for all-the-makeup, you won't acheive this look just by sleeping - you do need to do a little prep. Here are two easy ways you can nail the style:
Using a heated tong create large tousled curls and sleep on your hair. This will ensure the waves loosen and you won't look too "done". Follow our guide to tousled hair for more in-depth instructions.
The other option which works better on thinner hair is to simply plait your locks before bedtime, leaving them in until morning and gently undoing the braids before you go out. Remember to spritz them with a light coat of hairspray to ensure maximum hold.
