Her acting career has spanned over two decades - you'll perhaps know her most notably as Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreations, as a part time Hillary Clinton on SNL or perhaps as Regina George's "cool mum" in Mean Girls. She's released the acclaimed memoir Yes Please, given us multiple friendship goals alongside Tina Fey and founded her own organisation, Smart Girl, which champions young girls and teens. But sometimes, you get a little older and get a little bored of the demon. Through good therapy and friends and self-love you can practice treating the demon like a hacky, annoying cousin. Maybe a day even comes when you are getting dressed for a fancy event and it whispers, “You aren’t pretty,” and you go, “I know, I know, now let me find my earrings.” Sometimes you say, “Demon, I promise you I will let you remind me of my ugliness, but right now I am having hot sex so I will check in later.”

After joking and lighting up the room, Amy turned to a more serious subject, empowering women: "I am so happy to be celebrating tonight among all of you fantastic women, because turning to women is what I've been doing all year ... I've been asking them for support and I've been trying to be a witness for them and I think that's how we get through by being there for each other and hopefully laughing in the face of fear and despair".
