London Fashion Week
My day started, not on the cobblestones at Somerset House, but at a photo shoot where I ruthlessly followed all the Erdem and Christopher Kane coverage on Twitter.
I then headed to Old Billingsgate Market at 5pm for Lulu Kennedy's seriously impressive Fashion East show and caught up with both Tallulah Harlech and Tolula Adeyemi, the latter was the centre of much photographic attention after a male Asian journalist was seen wearing the same pyjama-esque outfit! I chatted to Gemma Cairney about the delights of my new Mary Katranzou for Topshop) dress, before getting some Dutch courage Champagne-style to brace against the cold for Vauxhall Fashion Scout.
Pop performance artist Pandemonia sat opposite Morwenna Lytton-Cobbold at the Prose show, a beautifully melancholic collection that felt like watching sea anemones wave in the ocean at ultra slow speed. I headed back home for a quick outfit change before hitting Le Baron for the Business of Fashion Party. By far my favourite website (since the age of 16), Business for Fashion brought out some insightful conversation - it’s so rewarding to talk to people in the industry and reflect on the relentless waterfall of inspiration that the past few days of LFW have offered to us.

Twenty8Twelve started at the leisurely time of 11:30am, at what felt like a very alpine morning in the courtyard! By noon the cobbles hosted the fashionable feet of Alexa Chung, Leigh Lezark and every fashion editor around for the Marios Schwab show. As the sun began to set, Jonathan Saunders paraded his spotlight-stealing collection of exquisite florals and sleek country weekend, altogether dangerously desirable.
Following a quick coffee with some NY photographers and bloggers, I headed to the Vivienne Westwood After-Party and the True Religon do out East. And I got home before sunrise (just!)

My day kicked off with Jasper Conran, a beautiful show that channelled a ballerina-esque elegance. My “FROW” buddy Henry Conway and I agreed we loved the big bauble sequins on the shoes and the dresses; and Kara Tointon opposite (who was looking laid back and cool with her new fringe) seemed to agree.
After Conran, we sped off East for a change to Shoreditch House where Anna Dello Russo was in conversation with Gianluca Longo. An hour later and I was determined to never be lazy again (when it comes to fashion), and to treat every day as Fashion Week, whipping out a hat or two to head back to Somerset House for the Christopher Raeburn show which was a luxury camper's fantasy. Suzy Menkes and I discussed the delights of lilac nail polish while I couldn't keep my eyes of Raeburn's new back packs and sleeping bags for shoes. I then met up with Tallulah Harlech and Morwenna Lytton-Cobbold for the Markus Lupfer presentation, where, as always, I wanted an entire trunk full, before skipping back to Antipodium where Lady Hawke, Bip Ling and Poppy Delevigne were all sat.
Morwenna and I agreed we would caffeine up and go out, so one outfit change later, we were out again, this time for the Diana Vreeland Film Event at the Mayfair Hotel, before ending up to Sketch (but not for too long) because an early start at Somerset House called!

From Felder Felder to Bora Aksu, British design talent set the bar high on the first day of London Fashion Week. PPQ stood out for its playful Jessica Rabbit-meets-Notting Hill picnic styling, while the Central Saint Martins show - arguably one of the hottest tickets of the week - was packed full of cultural messages and strong British influences that stood out as much as England will this year on the world stage.
The launch of the Rock Vault at BFC was a hotly anticpated event on my schedule. I caught up with myflashtrash.com designer Tomasz Donocik as Stephen Webster announced the CSM Student Platinum Design Award. On to Bluebird on the Kings Road for the packed-out party hosted by Tank Magazine, where I caught up with Lei Van Kash and talked furniture with Charlie Casley-Hayford before dashing to dinner at DownTown.
Walking in to the new Ciprani-owned restaurant, I felt like I was back in New York as an intimate crowd of fashion's elite - among them Anna Dello Russo and Daphne Guinness - gathered to eat perfectly portion-controlled dishes of pasta.
Was talked into heading to the Arts Club with MIC's ever dashing Mark Vandelli, where we danced until the early hours in quite our own little world.

To Battersea Power Station, for a party to launch LFW hosted by Swedish underwear label Bjorn Borg. Illuminated with ultra-violet, the power station was transformed into an Ikea-furnished grotto complete with fake snow, hot tubs and models parading around in neon bras and knickers.
While the Moscow Mules flowed and guests tucked into smoked salmon on rye bread inside, I was outside with the Team GLAMOUR.com interviewing guests as they arrived. I caught up with the Made In Chelsea crew, who were looking forward to their first fashion week, and found out who Caroline Flack and Georgie Okell would want to sit next to on the Frow.
As Robyn and Coco Sumner took to the stage to duet, I crept off home - ready to wake up and face the Somerset House cobblestones for Day 1.

The models at the Alice + Olivia presentation mimicked the cupcake and sweet-lined tables as candy-popping colours adorned trouser suits and tutu- dresses. Everything was as cute and bite-sized as the mini magnums everyone was munching on - a sugary distraction from the lack of ice at the bar.
We swiftly hailed a cab to ABC kitchen to join Brad Goreski, plus a crowd of fashion journalists, stylists and model agents all nibbling on calamari and friendly vegetables "from the artichoke family", as our waiter so sweetly put it.
One too many ginger margheritas later, and we were on our way down to China Town, to the 3.1 Philip Lim party at Red Egg. Far too many famous faces were dancing in the sweaty darkness to electro beats on the crowded dance floor. We ended up at a late night diner for pancakes and black coffee to wash away our egg-stained sins.

My last minute Tommy Hilfiger fitting took me to their warehouse-like HQ in NYC. Sort of felt like being in Shoreditch. Once there, I was escorted through the concrete palace to a glorious wardrobe filled with autumn/winter delights: silk pyjama-like trousers, burgundy velvet blazers and some incredible chain collar blouses. Chose a super-cute ensemble and zoomed back to my hotel to pick up my partner in fashion crime, Piers Hargreaves-Adams, and speed off to the show's location - the Armoury.
The frow was rocking with rock royalty (the Tyler off-spring) and the shiningly powerful Uma Thurman, who looked respendlent in a black jumpsuit. I took my seat next to NY cool kids Cory Kennedy and Mia Moretti, who affectionately referred to me as 'the New Kid' to the swarms of show paps who soon blinded us.
After a burgundy, equestrian-themed waterfall of models had descended across the gravel-lined runway path, Lana Del Rey's National Anthem boomed from the speakers and claps ensued like the sound of gates opening to the fun of the night ahead. I had a brief chat with GLAMOUR's own Louise Roe about her new favourite ring, but she couldn't be convinced to join our late night escapade to The Jane Hotel - where we ended up till God-knows-when, sipping drinks with the scenesters and models until dawn.

New York Fashion Week
The night started out at The Greenwich Hotel with fellow Londoner, blogger Peony Lim. A low-key celeb hang out, Prada creepers sat on some fashionable feet next to us - which turned out, to my surprise, to belong Ewan McGregor.
On to the Dream Hotel for the Kanon Vodka party, which was squeezed full of models and the Brit pack. Jamie and Alison from The Kills were projected on every wall. I found my gap-toothed model twin Ashley Smith, and up-and-coming English actress Jessamine Bell.
The partying continued over at the Boom Boom Room, where scandal ensued under the guidance of Purple magazine until the early hours - and after which my partner in crime, Piers Hargreaves-Adams, introduced me to early morning cafeteria delights.
