Carolina Herrera’s Very Good Girl Eau de Parfum is a millennial multi-hyphenate: mischievous, playful, seductive, self-assured. It’s all things at once. This rendition from the Good Girl family breaks with tradition, skipping notes of tonka and jasmine in favour of plush rose, made modern with bright, light and flirty lychee. It’s intoxicating and cheeky in equal measure. A burst of sticky redcurrant keeps things fruity, but there’s an earthy dry down, courtesy of vetiver, which gives a subtle smokiness. Velvety vanilla adds sexiness to the base, to round off a perfume that’s deservedly picked up endless five-star reviews. She’s a little saucy, but we love her.

Ghost Orb Of The Night Eau de Parfum, £48 for 75ml, Superdrug
This bae is low-key and understated but leaves a gentle, enchanting trail. The scent unfurls with fresh mandarin which casts a solar glow over the star note: cherry almond. The smudge of sweet marzipan feels light against pretty orange blossom and a delicate white musk that feels silky-soft misted over skin. As it dries, glossy caramel melts into sandalwood to provide cosiness and warmth, but it’s more of a whisper, nothing overpowering. It’s light, fruity and romantic, plus it’s infinitely wearable.

Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Fleur Terrible Eau de Parfum, £105.50 for 100ml, The Fragrance Shop
This gives Garden of Eden vibes, but with a seriously frisky Eve, which we’re here for. Zesty bergamot leads you out from the shade. A dash of salt nods to the steamy humidity, then a waterbomb of blue water lilies adds some splashy escapism, before amber and vanilla heat things back up again. This scent is warm, sweet, lush and liberated with conflicting notes working to create something unique, distinctive and individual. As for the lagoon-blue bottle, it’s a total mood-boost. The classic “Belle” design is naked, save for a flower garland, which we guess is one way to wear it…

Ariana Grande God Is A Woman Eau de Parfum, £37 for 50ml, Boots
This fruity floral is fun, lighthearted and quietly powerful. Juicy pear provides a playful opener and is the undisputed headliner. It’s sweet, but not too sugary. Plus it’s backed up by warm ambrette which adds a soft, sensual skin-like musk. This intriguing scent is thoughtful and conscious in more ways than one. Created from 91% naturally derived ingredients, Ariana’s God Is A Woman scent is vegan, cruelty free and a breath of fresh air. As the scent dries down, Turkish rose petals bloom, while milky Madagascan vanilla adds creaminess, and cedarwood in the base keeps everything feeling grounded. It’s pure BFF vibes: welcoming, uplifting and a total keeper.
