Zendaya has been known to keep us on our toes in the hair department. The 29-year-old actor has dabbled in shades of blonde, microbangs, XL extensions, braids and beyond – but her latest cut is one we’ve never seen on her before.
In some exclusive shots from Zendaya’s recent A24 shoot with Robert Pattinson (promoting their new wedding film, The Drama, premiering on April 3), Z’s new bixie cut steals the show. As her version shows, the bob-pixie hybrid is ideal for embracing natural texture. Zendaya wore hers – which celebrity stylist team The Hair Bros recently shared that they cut in late 2025 – side parted with soft, unfussy curls and what looks like a flexible styling gel for added shape and hold.
Zendaya’s upcoming film isn’t the only reason she’s been making headlines this week. At the Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards) on 1 March, her longtime stylist Law Roach told Access Hollywood that Zendaya and Tom Holland’s wedding has already happened. When asked about potential bridal looks, Roach responded: “You missed it!,” later elaborating that due to the private nature of the couple’s relationship, we’ll probably never see photos from the big day.
Naturally, the rumours left us with several burning questions. But namely, in light of her new look: Was Zendaya a bixie bride?! With soft layers that enhance her natural curls, the cut is definitely romantic enough for a short wedding hairstyle. And as celebs like Emma Stone and Florence Pugh have proved, it has plenty of red-carpet-worthy styling potential for a formal event.
However, as illustrated by this A24 shoot, the bixie can also go casual for an effortless everyday look. Interested in trying the look for yourself? Pro stylist Jennifer Korab says that the bixie “is about softness and a touchable texture, so your products should enhance movement without stiffness.” At the salon, she recommends asking for “longer fringe pieces, lots of movement on the top, and feathered, wispy edges.”
