Youngsters would rather be a blogger than a doctor

We're surprised and not surprised at the same time. According to the results of a new UK study by VoucherCodesPro, young British people see "blogging" as a top career choice. Three quarters of those surveyed had attempted blogging themselves, too. There were a total of 2,348 British people were polled as part of the research, all aged between 18 or 25.

These youngun's surveyed believed that a career in blogging could make them an average of £8,500 a month. Of course, it's quite clear who the inspiration is behind the big bucks: the likes of Zoella (39%), Jim Chapman (27%), Marcus Butler (21%), Tanya Burr (18%), and Alfie Deyes.

So after being shown a whole host of different possible job roles, they managed to whittle it down to the final 5 "top jobs" according to young Britons:

  1. Blogging - 24%

  2. Sportsman/Sportswoman - 18%

  3. Doctor - 14%

  4. Politician - 9%

  5. Musician - 7%

So why do young people want to a blogger over a politican, doctor or musician? Here are there top reasonings for wanting to be a full-time blogger:

  1. Bloggers don't have to do much work - 26%

  2. Bloggers get paid good money - 22%

  3. Bloggers are admired by others - 19%

  4. Blogging is easy - 16%

  5. Bloggers get sent free products and invites to prestigious events - 11%
