Taylor Swift is living her most bejeweled life these days — and some fans think that means she's heading for this year's Met Gala.
There are a few clues: first, a rumoured guest list features names like Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Jenna Ortega, Lana Del Rey, Bad Bunny, Kim Kardashian — and, yes, Taylor Swift.
Even more suspicious is the fact that Swift has no concerts lined up on May 6, 2024 — the Met Gala takes place on the first Monday of May each year, so this could be a sign that Swift is planning on attending the gala.

Finally, and perhaps most telling of all, is the fact that Swift's stylist, Joseph Cassell, recently started following the Met Gala's official Instagram page. Coincidence? We think not.
This would be Swift's first Met Gala since 2016, when the star attended with her then-boyfriend, actor Tom Hiddleston. That year's theme was “Fashion in an Age of Technology". Swift wore what has become one of her most controversial looks, which featured peroxide blonde bob, dark lipstick and a metallic, futuristic mini dress. Swift didn't make it to the gala last year — even though fans were desperate to see her return to the biggest night in fashion.
He’s only focused on one ring…for now.
The 2024 Met Gala will be called “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion” and will feature the very ethereal-sounding theme “The Garden of Time” — honestly, it sounds like the perfect sartorial fit for the ever-whimsical Swift. If she does appear at this year's gala, we can bet she'll use this very poetic theme to bring us a look that fits right into her new Poets Department era.
If Swift does make it to the 2024 Met Gala, prepare yourself for a whole lot of Swift discourse – the singer has a lot of history when it comes to this particular event. Rumour has it, her last Met Ball in 2016 was actually the night that she first crossed paths with her now-ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. In other words, when it comes to Taylor Swift lore, the Met Gala is a very big deal.
