On Monday, August 28, Hailey Bieber attended an event with her husband, Justin Bieber, at a Krispy Kreme in Manhattan. The evening was put on to celebrate the launch of a collaboration between her makeup brand, Rhode, and the doughnut company.
The theme of the night: “Strawberry Glazed,” a nod to Krispy Kreme bringing back the limited-edition doughnut to coincide with the release of Rhode’s new lip treatment. (Which Hailey said was inspired by the pastry, of course.)
Naturally, Hailey’s look was perfectly on point, in a strapless red dress, matching heels and bag, and even strawberry-shaped statement earrings. A perfect ’fit for strawberry girl summer.
And accompanying Hailey was her husband, Justin Bieber. He had a…different…vibe.
It’s giving, as the TikTok teens would say, bed rotting. Together, the married couple made a sartorially confusing pair. Hailey looks like she’s headed to a red carpet, and Justin looks like he’s heading to…the sofa.
Once at Krispy Kreme, he did, at least, put his hood down. He did keep the pink hat, the only accessory that could have been deemed to be on theme. Unfortunately, he did not lose the Crocs.

And while there is an argument to be made that Justin should just wear whatever makes him feel comfortable, many women feel Hailey’s pain.
