The Only Way Is Essex is almost back on our screens. And we can't wait. The drama! The rivalries! The romance! It's going to be juicy, it's going to be good, and it's going to be so, so iconic.
Now entering its 36th season, TOWIE is officially a staple of British telly. The show follows a group of friends in Essex. And this season, the drama is sure to be ramped up to a new level as a whole lot has happened since the last season. Ella Rae Wise broke up with Dan Edgar just before she made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. Edgar has recently been linked to former TOWIE cast member Chloe Lewis, which is sure to cause some extra drama.Meanwhile, Dani Imbert was spotted kissing Ben Holbrough and Tommy Bradley from Love Island.
We'll also be picking up with Elma Pazar and Sammy Root, who met on Love Island: All Stars and made their way to TOWIE as a couple shortly after. It's been reported that the pair split earlier this summer and you can expect to see that unfold in the upcoming season of the show.
But the show will have some wholesome moments, too.
“This series of TOWIE for me is very different. A little bit of drama but a lot more wholesomeness!” said Junaid Ahmed to Scene Mag. “I’m settled in my relationship, I’m very work focused so I’ve been helping my friends with their drama, rather than me be at the centre of it. It’s been a nice change.”
This series is a great series full of drama so it’s going to make great viewing. It’s been nice to take a little back seat this time around."

Mark your calendars because The Only Way Is Essex is back for another season starting on Sunday 17 August. The first episode will air at 9pm on ITV2 and will be available on ITVx shortly after.
Keep your Sunday and Monday evenings free because TOWIE will be airing twice a week on Sundays and Mondays on ITV at 9pm.

Yes. And, unsurprisingly, it's looking drama filled. For instance, friends Saffron Lempriere and Chloe Meadows look like they'll be butting heads this season, with Saff telling Chloe, “It's muggy. You're muggy to people.” Let's goooo.
