Here's what it's really like to work out with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

This morning I metaphorically awoke from my Christmas and New Year slumber (only five days late) and headed to a 8.30am workout sesh with supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The session was in honour of Rosie's (amaze) second Rosie for Autograph Activewear collection which I was lucky enough to test drive for the session.

The class, run by celebrity trainer (and professional MACHINE) Simone De La Rue, was a mix of dance and intensive cardio. This made the collection, designed specifically for high-intensity workouts, pretty perfect, while also managing to navigate the oxymoron of chic sportswear with seriously stylish black, aubergines and blush pink pieces.

Among many things, like learning I have the co-ordination of a drunken foal and that it's never a good idea to take a selfie with a supermodel (see above), I learnt a lot about what it's really like to work out with the goddess that is RHW...

1. She's a bit of a pro

The hour long session was just a 'sample' of what Rosie does Five.Times.A.Week. So as you can probably guess, she completed the tricky, high-intensity cardio moves with utter ease.

2. She looks good even when sweating

What she looked like: radiant with glistening beads of moisture. What I looked like: a huffing, puffing pig after ten rounds with Mike Tyson.

3. She's got The Moves

I wasn't expecting my dance failings to come into play here, but the workout was very much about the hips and using your natural rhythm - which Rosie had zero problem with. Something I learnt: It's impossible to look sexy when you're trying not to vomit.

4. GOD she's got good abs...

... They were nearly enough to make me consider taking up Rosie's five-day workout routine. Nearly.

5. Good workout gear actually really, really helps

As an amateur exerciser I felt considerably more pumped about the prospect of an hour-long training session when I was decked out in chic, breathable sportswear.

Rosie's second Rosie for Autograph Active range is in stores today and available at Marks & Spencer online.
