If you thought toddlers + news had reached its zenith with the BBC expert being gatecrashed by his own kids earlier this year, then think again: ITV News enjoyed a fabulous child invasion of its own during Wednesday's lunchtime news bulletin, and it was a DELIGHT.
Alistair Stewart was interviewing Lucy Wronka about milk allergies, which her children George and Iris both have, and of course her kids came along to the set to be interviewed themselves.
While George sat as neat as a pin, his younger sister went on the rampage and jogged around the set like a fluffy-haired Godzilla before finally climbing onto Stewart's desk, where he suavely ended the bulletin.

Stewart's ITV colleagues were full of praise.

Not that they kept straight faces all the way through, obviously.

And if he gets bored of the news, then a blossoming career as a nanny or clown surely awaits.
There was also huge joy to be had in watching Stewart attempting Serious Interviewing of a small child, when he did a tongue in cheek interrogation of young George about his milk allergy.
Turning to face the staring child, he said: "Let me put it to you George, that everybody listening will have thought, 'Well that's good not to have all those nasty illnesses and feeling rotten and what have you', but are there things that you quite fancy that you're not allowed to eat or drink?"
Solemn child's solemn response: "I'm not allowed to drink milk."
Not to be perturbed, Stewart challenged him on milk-based treats: "No milk at all. Do your chums have milkshakes? No? So you don't miss it? What about ice lollies? No milk in your cereal?"
Solemn child's shake of the heads were then replaced by Stewart noticing that Child 2, Iris, had finally accomplished her mission of clambering over the desk and was apparently swimming her way towards her mother.
