Yesterday saw the debut European show of Youchan Chung the South Korean designer behind the unisex brand The Sirius as part of the Mercedes-Benz International Designer Exchange Programme.

Originally from Seoul, where he studied at the Samsung Art and Design Institute, Chung launched his label in 2016 originally as a menswear proposition.

The SS18 collection draws inspiration from the designers summers spent travelling in Europe. A neutral colour palette of his signature beige is off-set by pops of citrus set against a soft patchwork of faded shirting and Broderie anglaise with a nod to utility detailing.

The 24 year old Chung has definitely made his mark on the international fashion scene with this sophisticated minimalist collection. We can't wait to see what's next for this emerging talent.
