Temperley London is always going to draw a crowd. The Duchess of Cambridge is one of the label's most famous supporters, and apparently so are Anna Kendrick, Paloma Faith, Olivia Palermo and Peaches Geldof who all sat across from us in the front row, eyes glued to the catwalk.

Let's start with the best bits: this was, after all, one of the loveliest collections we've seen from the label, EVER. The show opened with a stream of fuchsia (the colour du jour for next spring) - in wide stripes on regal skirts (with matching jackets, natch) or long gowns with 3-dimensional rosettes - which then blended with leopard print (we've never met a better combination) and finally worked into deep violet flowers, with hemlines high and low and full, bouncy skirts.

Pale mint green also seems to be a big colourway for next season, and we pointed out a few embellished dresses that we could see Kate wearing on her next outing - we were in princess territory for sure.

What we loved: Aside from the clothes (especially all the pink as well as the black overlay Audrey Hepburn-style dress), the beats, particularly LL Cool J's Phenomenon, blaring in the Savoy set the backdrop quite nicely.

Better leave it to the show notes translation: "Temperley dipped in heady, ethereal romance. I dreamt about celebrating life in a rich, full and fragrant Sicilian adventure" - signed Alice. [vine id="hndDegMuPHt"]
