When we rolled over in bed this morning, picked up our iPhones and tapped our Facebook app to have an obligatory start-of-day browse, we were met with a cheery reminder from Facebook that today (June 20th) is the "first day of summer". Hurrah.
It was only when we drew our blinds to see drizzly showers, sodden pavements and a gloomy grey sky that we truly realised the horrible irony of Facebook's taunting reminder.
Here's all the stages of emotions we felt about today's so-called 'first day of summer'...

We had every intention of wearing our new suede shoes that we bought at the weekend. FFS.
This must be some kind of cruel joke.
"How much do I really need this job?" you might ask yourself, as your shoe makes it's 475th squealch noise.

Facebook, can you be more considerate of our feelings tomorrow, please?
