The Insurgent star is our cover girl this month and we've found a few fun facts about her you might not know
Shailene Woodley first came to our attention as Kaitlin Cooper, Marissa's horse-loving younger sister in The O.C. Here's a reminder in case you can't remember.
But Shailene had been used to the spotlight from a young age. She started modelling at just four.
We love a down-to-Earth star and Shailene didn't let the fact that she was filming the hugely popular The Secret Life of the American Teenager prevent her from doing a Saturday job at American Apparel.
It could all have worked out so differently; Shailene could have found herself looking at mood boards rather than appearing on billboards - she considered studying interior design at university.
The actress was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) at the age of 15. "Some people have crooked teeth, some people have broken fingers, and I've got a back that has my initial on it," the star mused.
Shailene had to beat off stiff competition from the likes of Amanda Seyfried to bag the role of Alex in The Descendants. She went on to be nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her performance.
We love a girl who isn't afraid to do something dramatic and Shailene did just this for The Fault In Our Stars. Instead of taking the easy way out and wearing a wig for the role of a cancer sufferer, she had her hair cut off and donated her famous locks to Children With Hair Loss, a charity which makes wigs for children in need.
Our April cover star has a really positive outlook on life. "The second I wake up, I scream very loudly, 'Good morning! Good morning!' And then I scream out, 'Exciting day! Exciting day!' I feel like it completely sets the mood for the whole day."
Shailene has tonnes of reasons to be positive - including that she's friends with Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone.
The actress loves nature and all things natural: "I make everything from my own toothpaste to my own body lotions and face oils." Well, it's certainly not doing you any harm, Shailene!
