Every now and then, amidst the usual excellence on the catwalks, fashion week shows serve up something of a curve ball. No stranger so such an occasion, this weekend saw beloved fashion label Roksanda debut what is perhaps its most unexpected collaboration so far.
Teaming up with FitFlop, the comfort-led - and podiatrist-recommended - shoe label known and loved for its unrivalled, scientifically-backed performance, for autumn/winter 2023 Roksanda has fused its vibrant femininity with FitFlop's functionality in a collection showcased on its latest London Fashion Week runway.

“Always a pleasure to collaborate with a female-led brand,” explained Roksanda Ilinčić, Founder of Roksanda, “FitFlop has resonated with me for their shared vision to address and put the needs of women first. I enjoyed bringing a new perspective to their functionality and performance – creating collections that perfectly unite our mutual respect and love for women.”
The catwalk reveal comprised of nine looks using FitFlop x Roksanda footwear, as well as eight looks featuring FitFlop x Roksanda bespoke leather styling accessories.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of London's illustrious Tate Britain, this footwear collaboration only served to complement Roksanda's latest bold clothing offering which set out to honour the beauty found within the human soul and its dialogue with nature.
With dramatic and sculptural tailored silhouettes contrasting against blanket-like wraps and waterfall fringing, this was a collection which celebrated unexpectedly beautiful pairings. The debut of Roksanda X FitFlop, therefore, couldn't have been more fitting.
The first drop of this collection is a curated edit - designed by FitFlop with Roksanda hand-selecting colours and silhouettes in line with runway looks - and is available to buy online and in selected stores globally from September 2024.
