Growing up, it was Whitney Houston and Tracy Chapman

I wish I had trusted my instincts a little more.

At the moment, it is Good Days, Bad Days
What are your plans for 2013 then?
To write my next album and have a nice, long holiday somewhere sunny.

I used to feel pressured to act a certain way but not anymore
How do you find juggling your new musical career and being a mum?
Hard at first but now I've got a very good balance

I really like the new judges

I think he's a good judge and makes good decisions
What's been your favourite red carpet outfit to date?
The gold dress that I wore to the Glamour Awards!
Favourite beauty products?
I'm in love with Sisley's Black Rose Face Mask. I actually use it as a moisturiser!
Who's your celebrity hair icon?
Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz, definitely.
Who's your fashion icon?
I really like Nicola Roberts at the moment. I love Audrey Hepburn too.
Biggest ever fashion disaster?
The blue hat, probably. It was lovely, but I don't think I wore it properly!
What do you think of Little Mix?
I loved them singing En Vogue. They seem lovely
What would be your biggest fashion tip?
I think dressing for your shape is important.
What's your advice for people who want to make it?
You can't give up. I had so many knock-backs but I kept going
