This is not a drill: The Prosecco shortage is real and coming our way.
I know, how will we ever brunch again?
For the past year, Prosecco suppliers have been threatening to turn off the fizz, as global demand reached an all time high. Sales have even taken over that of Champagne.
But after last year's poor harvest, leaving suppliers with almost 50 percent less bubbles to go around, it looks like the shortage could hit us this August.

The worst news is it looks like the draught is all our fault. Us Brits just can't get enough of the Italian fizz, as this year's sales rocketed by 34 percent, compared to that of the same quarter in 2015. Did someone say panic-buying?
Oh, did someone say Cava? Phew!
