Nicholas Kirkwood has been in business for 10 years and to celebrate he's launched a collection inspired by toys, games and films of the 80s, including Back To The Future.
The footwear designer, whose fans include Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Kruger and Beyonce, was born in 1980 - the same year as Pac-Man, and he's paid tribute to the venerable arcade game by creating a pair of shoes its honour. The limited-edition collection, which launches on Saturday 19 September, is called 10 and a playful, graphic theme runs throughout.
"10 explores the concept of being ten years old again and the excitement of discovering something for the first time," explained Kirkwood. "Many big defining moments in pop culture have a strong influence on me, but growing up in the 80s, the culture of arcades, toys and films was the first I actively participated in, and it's this energy I wanted to recreate!"
It's a futuristic sci-fi medley, referencing some of our favourite 80s memories, but repackaged in seriously desirable shoe candy. Here's to another 10 years Mr Kirkwood.
