"Let's do the interview outside," said a very hot Sam Mcknight. "It's not the normal kind of backstage." He had a point: 70 girls walking the runway, 8-10 supermodels including Erin O'Connor, Alek Wek and Jodie Kidd, all divided into two camps: The good girls and the bad girls.
Meet the Good Girls:
"We're doing two braids and tying a messy knot at the back of the head," said Sam. "All the girls have centre partings and I'm using Pantene hairspray, £3.69, to keep the look in place." Tom Pecheux added "these are the angels. Think ethereal and virginal: I'm creating a dewy finish with Studio Moisture Fix, £22.50, MAC and blending in MAC Pink Swoon for rosy cheeks. I'm patting MAC lip glass, £14, in Modern Romance for a pink tint.
And the Bad Girls:
"Masculine buns with deep, side partings; I'm blow drying Pantene, £3.69, high-shine mousse into hair for an ultra-glossy finish," said Sam. Tom described these girls as "cute but evil. I played with a red and black palette; the statement eye is blacktrack fluidline, £15, MAC on upper and lower eyelines and then I'm using MAC lip pencil, £12, in red along the waterline. And that's not all... I'm filling in lips with the same MAC red lip pencil on eyes and adding MAC red lipmix, £14, for a strong, blood red hue."
We would expect nothing less for Moschino's 30th anniversary!
