Have you already purchased your wedge espadrilles for the summer? After all, a good wedge is an essential for the season. It's no wonder Elsa Pataky counts them among her favourite footwear. As usual, she was one of the first celebs to pull them off her shoe rack for the summer season. On this occasion, her espadrilles debut came during the presentation of the new Gioseppo collection in Madrid, a brand of which she has been the face since 2015. And although spring is likely to give us a few more rainy days, we are all ready to start hunting for our summer footwear. If we take a page out of Pataky's book, this season calls for wedge espadrilles with some extra special details and, most importantly, a strong metallic finish.
Pataky's pair come from the new Gioseppo collection and are known as the Zola wedge sandals — and they've got to be one of the most versatile, wearable options on the market this year.
They shoes are configured with metallic straps and a boho wedge platform. But it doesn't stop there. They also feature some extra detailing, like the off-white coral beads and glittery studs.
Once the weather gets warm, we predict everyone will be swapping their boots for this western-inspired footwear.
Elsa Pataky offers some solid styling inspo with her espadrilles: in true summery style, she paired them with an XXL floral print dress with a slit. And for a more sophisticated touch she added a knotted leather belt and gold jewellery.
The beautiful thing about these sandals, however, is that you really can wear them with pretty much your entire summer closet, from your favourite jeans to your collection of midi skirts, to your go-to Bermuda shorts or your fun mini dresses. Put them to the test — you'll see you can even wear them to the office with dress pants.
