<p class="x_MsoNormal">Some historians trace the taboo back
to biblical references when Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus,
was supposedly the 13th guest to sit down at the last supper.
According to Christianity, the next day (FRIDAY), Jesus was
crucified.
<p class="x_MsoNormal">Superstitious types also note that 13
are the number of witches you need to form a coven.
<p class="x_MsoNormal">Friday, in general, has continued to
be a hugely unlucky day, with The British Medical Journal
concluding that our country is basically just a bit more risky
pre-weekend.

<p class="x_MsoNormal">Back in the seriously dark ages of
British tradition, Fridays were the day of choice for public
hangings and became known as
'Hangman's
Day'. AND there were supposedly 13 steps
leading up to the noose.
