Next week sees the launch of the London-based design duo's first collaboration with Topshop. Marques Almeida have already gained a loyal fan-base with the fashion crowd who've fallen for the brand's modern take on a nineties aesthetic, and this is set to grow and grow.
Talking about the inspiration for this 68 piece collection, Marta Marques and Paolo Almeida said 'We've always focused our research around teenagers and what we call the " youth code" of dressing since we started the brand, working on this collection meant we could go back and dig deep into those archives'.
Taking signature elements including frayed denim, nineties shapes and acid brights, and with prices starting at £15 going up to £250 for leather pieces, this looks set to be one of Topshop's hottest collaborations to date. Our favourites include an indigo denim mac, wide-leg taffeta trousers and a ribbed drawstring skirt.
